A project is being run from Nottingham Castle to put Faces to the names of any Soldier from Nottinghamshire who gave his life in the First World War. If any one has a photo or knows someone that might then please get in touch. The Photo's will go onto a digital Wall of Faces to be used in a display running from August 2014. All help will be greatly Welcome.  :)

Hi Pete :)

Whilst I appreciate that you are trying to reach the widest audience possible, Rootschat does not encourage duplicate postings, for the obvious reason (among others) that it can result in duplicate efforts being made by helpers.

Therefore I've removed your other topics about this project, except for one in the Common Room to which I've added a link back to this one.  As your quest is for Notts soldiers, leaving this topic open on the Notts board seems like the most sensible option to me.

Cheers
Prue

P.S.  I've also left the one on the World War One board, but similarly locked it and asked for responses on this one, to keep it all tidy  :)

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the info.

I have 2 Nottingham Chaps that were in WW1  - but sadly neither came back, so I would be very interested.

Do you have a link?

Best wishes,

Hi Copperbeech5
If you have photo's then you could email them to me with all the details of each soldier including next of kin and the address they lived at. email is (*)
They will then be copied and passed on to Jack our team leader.
Kind Regards
Pete
