Looking for information on the Marriage of George Taaffe and Eleanor Tallon
they lived around Baggot Street or Fitzwilliam Street they were married around 1884, they had 3 children that I know of there could have been more. I have no information on Eleanor she may have come from Howth
I would appreciate any information on this family

I see two George Taaffe marriages in Dublin city around that time - one in 1885 as 'George Taaffe', and the other in 1884 as 'George William Emerson Taaffe', but neither seem to marry anyone with the firstname Eleanor or surname Tallon...

Do you have birth certs or baptisms for any of their children ?
Can you post the details..

This baptism fit's the parents names you mentioned ...

  Parents : George W.E.F. Taaffe & Eleanor Tallon

there's an earlier baptism in the same parish that could be the same parents - but with the mother's name looking a bit different... or mistranscribed..

  Joseph Fitzwilliam Taffe - 1887
  Parents : George Fitzwilliam Taffe & Allen Sallora

one of the sponsors for this baptisms is a Jane Mary Tallon.

George William Emerson Taaffe was born 1862 address Sandymount  his father was Henry Taaffe his mother was Sophia Wilson
on the birth records I have for my grandfather his sister and brother the names are father George William Emersom Fitzgerald Taaffe mother Eleanor Tallon. my grandfather Joseph date of birth was 1887 Dublin South Mary Esther date 1889 Edmund 1885 George Emerson Married in 1884
unless I have the wrong Taaffe Family. my mother was Mary Esther her father was Joseph.

The Mary Esther Taaffe 1889 is the same one but the Joseph Fitzwilliam Taafe 1887 I have pondered for a long time the name Allen Sallora baffles me as does the Jane Mary Tallon. there is a mix up somewhere.

that look to me like that record was difficult to read ... the godparent name would suggest it was Tallon. Unfortunately there are no register images available for St. Andrew's RC at the moment..

Tried the census never found them I thought perhaps they died. the Eleanor Tallon marriage could be the one

just spotted that and came to the same conclusion ... think the digits in the page got swapped on one of those records... either when FamilySearch transcribed them or in the original GRO index.
