richard arnold burial site?

Hi,
I'm hoping to (hopefully) pinpoint where my ggg grandparents were buried before we arrive there in June this year. I know they were living in Lugtrout Lane, Solihull (thank you again Rambler ) & below is the details of the death registrations:

Sept.1845/Meriden/16/247.
Meriden was the Reg.Dist. for Hampton.

& there's this Burial for an Ann Arnold:
16/9/1837/Solihull,no age given.

I realise Birmingham is a very large area but would there be a more likely cemetery for the Solihull area & do they have online records over there?

St.Alphege's is the Parish Church of Solihull,Lugtrout Lane is just up the road about a mile or so.Solihull isn't in B'ham.
The NBI has an Anne Arnold buried at St.Alphege's,Sept. 16th. 1837,she was aged 50,is this your Anne?
Ancestry gives Lugtrout Lane as an address so I guess it must be.
Richard is also there buried on July 18th. 1845 again Lugtrout Lane aged 64.
Are you aware of the Richard Arnold Christening in Solihull 1780?
The parents were of Yardley Parish at the time,later listed as paupers...sorry about that.

yes this is them Jim...

I knew the address was Lugtrout Lane & that St Alphege's was the christening place for my gg grandfather, John Arnold, but don't think I knew Richard was also christened in Solihull. Where did you dig that one up?

I didn't realise there would be a cemetery at St Alphege's or would have made the connection. Thank you so much for placing another piece of the puzzle  I've been in touch with the Parish regarding any details they may have had about christenings, weddings etc - nothing on record apart from what I had already found through ancestry. Of course I didn't ask about burial details!

Richards parents were Richard & Elizabeth Arnold of the Parish of Yardley.Solihull at this time consisted of 7 Parishes.Yardley has it's own Church St.Edburgha's at least as old as St. Elphege's & is now a grade 1 listed building.
I don't know what it is about this Church as I have many family members who lived there at this time who all elected to marry in B'ham.Richard & Elizabeth Arnold may be buried there as they are not at St. Elphege's.
Richard Jr. had 6 siblings if you want them or you can find them yourself if you prefer on Ancestry.
I've had a reply from St.Alphege's Parish Warden & I've given him the names as he's going to try & find their plots.
If they exist I can go up there & get some photos as I only live a couple of miles away.
By the way if your John is the one born 1816 then they were living in Olton End at the time.

Unfortunately, the majority of gravestones in St Alphege's churchyard have been removed.  I have family members buried there but, like them, their stones are no more.

hi Jim - I would love the names of Richard's siblings if you have them handy. I'll look them up myself as well but i'm not great at this research & always seem to miss things! thank you for making contact with the Parish Warden - photos would be brilliant but please don't make a special trip just for that. We are coming over from Australia in July & driving to Solihull to visit St Alpheges on our way up to Scotland & having plot numbers is far more than I had hoped for. I think it will be quite eerie to visit sites where I know my ancestors lived & worked so long ago, even though I'm sure it will all be quite different now to then  That would be my John by the way - 26th Aug 1816 was the baptism date - where is Olton End?

PFG - what a shame about the gravestones! it's no different over here though & the burials are more recent than Richard & Ann's!

Elizabeth/ch.28/1/1784
Mary/ch.27/12/1785
Edward & William/ch.28/3/1788 ( it doesn't say they were twins)
Hannah/ch.30/3/1792 (listed as a pauper family)
All of the others except for Esther have an asterix next to their names as do one or two others on the page which probably means they were paupers at that time as well.
All listed as from Yardley Parish.

yay! my research must be getting better! I had them all except Esther but hadn't picked up on the asterisks. I hope you didn't spend as long as I did finding them all though or I will feel very guilty about asking you to do the looking... I had to go through individual baptism records for Richard & Elizabeth as parents, looking for Solihull records first then a note about Yardley Parish - please tell me there's an easier way?
