Robert Smith & Isabella McGuire

Looking for any information on my gg grand parents Robert Smith (b1827) and Isabella McGuire or Maguire (b1830)  They were married in 1845, County Down (information from their daughter Mary birth Certificate (b 1855)  They came from County Down to  Coatbridge Lanarkshire Scotland around 1853-1855  They had two sons William b 1850 and Christopher b 1853 both County Down.  According to Isabella's Death Certificate her parents were Christopher McGuire or Maguire  and Mary Kennedy.  Having trouble locating their marriage records as all searches are showing nothing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know what religion(s) they were? Civil registration of Catholic marriages started in 1964 but from 1845 for non-Catholic marriages.

If they were married before registration then you'll need to know their religion and where they lived to start searching for church records.

They were both Catholic which will rule out the civil registration option.  I have no idea where in County Down they lived so I will keep searching.  Thanks for your help
