I note there is an email address. It may be pertinent to contact the poster to try and ascertain if the person mentioned in the post is in fact your ancestor. If you get no responce, come back to this page and we can try and figure out via crew agreements if it was your ancestor aboard CAMELIA.
Just because a vessel sails from a particular port that doesn't mean to say the vessel was registered there. In fact the CAMELIA in question was registered in North Shields. I do think there may be a North Shields connection some where along the line.

Iv stumbled across this post today whilst googling, Its a while since it was posted but thought I'd still post in the hope you will see. My name is Lisa, I'm from North Shields, England. Janne Sandberg was my 3X Great grandfather. I have quite a bit of information about his family id be happy to share with you.
