Emigration to Canada
« on: Friday 06 April 12 16:48 BST (UK) »
I am trying to identify when my great-greataunt  Sarah Kernaghan born c1887 Kilbride, Doagh Co. Antrim emigrated to USA or Canada. It was after 1911 census. She may have gone from Ireland or Scotland as she married John/Jack Cowie and settled in Saskatchewan. Date, Ship Name and departure and arrival ports would be really helpful. She may have gone to USA first and crossed to Canada at some stage.

Thanks for all of this info. I don't have any definitive information but will explore the 1919 marriage possibility to confirm whether this is the correct couple. Seems likely as Sarah had an older sister Elizabeth who married William Neilson and they lived at Copeland Road in the Govan area of Glasgow.
