Marriage Lookup - St Helier Jersey

After further searching I would be greatful if someone could fine a marriage at St. Helier.


William Coombe Sanders   b Middlesex   1820

Catherine NICHOLL   b    St Helier Jersey  1825?

Parents  John and Ann Nicolle.
               Edward and Mary Sanders

I think the marriage would have been about   1845/46 in St Helier JERSEY

Would this marriage be on line anywhere or where else could I search.

The old LDS has a birth for Catherine Nicolle born 1824 St. Helier, jersey - Father Jean Nicolle and Mother Ann  This is Film 450982 which is the Endowments of the dead.

There are quite a few children born in the Channel Isles called Nicolls/Nichols  in the early 1800's with father Jean/John and Mother Ann- different surnames

LDS don't seem to have marriages on it.  Hopefully someone will come on board who has the records at home.

William Coombe Saunders married Catherine Nicolle 15/12/1845 at St Helier Town Church. He was 25 and a Confectioner while she was 22. His father was Edward Sanders, a portrait painter and hers was John Nicolle, a hatter.
The witnesses were John Nicolle and Edward Sanders.

Unless you really want a full hand written copy you would be better contacting the Jersey Archive,
www.jerseyheritage.org

You can obtain a photocopy for a lot less than £20/$30 - it would only be a couple of dollars plus postage.

I've thrown away the piece of paper with the reference on it but I can get it for you next week.

If you want to order a photocopy of the marriage certificate it is in the St Helier Town Church Volume May 1845-Nov 1847, page 27. Make sure you tell them the names of the couple as there are 4 marriages per page.
