Hi,

I'm having a guess here but I am assuming it is one of the lodges for employees of Sedgebrooke Hall, which is close to the Station.  This is going by the address list on the census.
Google maps show Sedgebrooke Hall here....http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=sedgebrook+hall+pitsford&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1366&bih=638&noj=1&gbv=2&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=s8yqT
Hope that helps a little?

Thanks Wendy, after looking at the census again I can see now, first is Dickens lodge then The Station which would be Brampton halt then we have Sedgbrook hall, I was looking pitford village rather than the outskirts.
I drive past there every week aswell !
Thanks again

Andy

Hi Andy,

I know what you mean I started looking in Pitsford first!  Your post caught my eye as I am a Dickens (by marriage) and I have traced them back to the Pitsford/Moulton area. Unfortunately they weren't wealthy so I doubt the Lodge was names after them!! Shame!!  ;D

Good luck with your research
