The Shawe: Booths Hall Cheadle
« on: Friday 30 March 12 20:24 BST (UK) »
Hi
Can anyone tell me the history of Booths Hall or the Shawe ? It was a grand country house located between Kingsley Holt and Cheadle: now sadly long gone . I have seen a drawing of the building on the Staffordshire Past Tracks website, and what a grand building it was.

Can anyone tell me when has the Shawe demolished and why?
Who were the Booths and how did they earn their fortune to build such a fine house?
Are there any other photographs available on line.

Many thanks in advance.
Julie
