Unlike some marriage registers, the registers for births and deaths are kept at the register office not the archives.
The only way you'll see a copy is to purchase it from the General Register Ofice at Southourt (
www.gro.gov.uk) or the register office.
If he was buried locally, you may find an entry in a burial register but details will be sparse.
Death certificates of that time have little genealogical information in them. All you'll get is the date and place of death, the name and age but not date of birth, the occupation of the deceased, the cause of death and the name and address of the informant.
