Not sure this is the family you are looking for but this is the son Donald McMartin Oswald  - Born  Quebec 1896  and aged 30 years.
 
Father  John Oswald  and Mother  Margaret McMartin
Spouse -  Pearl Catherine McEwen Born Roxborough. Ontario and aged 27 years
Spouse Father  S J MacEwen and Mother  Isabel Kennedy
Marriage Date: 17 Nov 1926 Stormont. Ontario

The parents married 1856 Quebec - Archibald Oswald  and Spouse: Elen St Geoch
1856  -(Marriage)  -  St-Eustache (Presbyterian Church) Quebec.

There are a few anc. trees on Archibald Oswald (John's father) - seems he was a native of Denny. Scotland and arrived in Canada when he was about 5 years old.

Thankyou very much Sandra for all this research, but it has confirmed that this is not the same family that I had hoped it was. Mine is a Margaret Oswald  born scotland 1853 (nee king) with daughter Helen (registered as Mary) born scotland 1889. I have found them in the 1901 & 1911 scottish censuses but not in the 1891 one.
