Welcome from me too

I have looked at my NSW Electoral rolls and other offline resources.  I will post re CRAIN and MORTON circa 1903 and 1913 tomorrow morning ....

PS  I have not ever knowlingly met face to face ANY RChatter so you are one up on me and I am so pleased that you have met Dee for (in my humble opinion) Dee will guide and give good counsel with a smile and good humour and with respect for the protocols rules guidelines and practices of this fantastichobby of family history.

May you enjoy the journey as much as the delight when you reach each point along the way.

Cheers JM PPS  Dee is not allowed to blush as I wont permit it well as I am in NSW and it is evening thats 2 reasons why I cant see SA from here.

Hi there,

And so, leading on from Merlin’s find, most likely you have checked the NSW BDM online indexes and noticed Bruce and Ada’s marriage, and possibly noticed the birth registration for a likely older brother for Thelma Irene.

As promised, here’s some NSW Electoral Roll info from my off-line resources :

NSW ER 1913 COOTAMUNDRA, polling at Gundagai
CRANE, Ada May, Spring Flat, dd
CRANE, Bruce Stanley, Spring Flat, groom

MORTON, Annie, Gundagai, dd
MORTON, Arthur Ernest, Gundagai, painter
MORTON, George Frederick, Spring Flat, butcher
MORTON, John Alfred, Gundagai, labourer
MORTON, Julia, Spring Flat, dd
MORTON, Mary, Gundagai, dd

NSW ER 1903 HUME, polling at Gundagai
MORETON
Anne, Hanley st, dd
Arthur Ernest, Spring Flat, painter
George Frederick, Spring Flat, labourer
John Alfred, Spring Flat, miner
Julia, Spring Flat, dd

And for MORTON
William Albert, Gundagai, labourer.

Fingers crossed

Cheers,  JM

Yes but what a fantastic addiction ... and with no cure in sight nor any medical research being undertaken to look for one.  And RChat to help feed the addiction and to help others with similar addictions ...

Cheers JM

Not sure what "other resources" Merlin was using,  I went to the library today and I can confirm that she appears in the fiche copy of the "Pioneers Index",  which runs to 1918,

as

Thalma (sic) I Crain,  1917,  parents Bruce S and Ada M, registered at Gundagai,  reg 1917/23127

Not sure how many libraries still have these fiches,  very useful for looking for births between 1911 and 1918.
