If we can find a connection for Thelma to the Crain families of Adelong, Mt Adrah, Gundegai etc, there's a website I've found that could be very helpful to further research.

If she was born in NSW in 1917,  she should be on the old fiche copy of the birth index which ran to 1918  although the online index only runs to 1911.

Some of us have other resources  ;D

Birth:

Thalma I CRAIN b. 1917 GUNDAGAI #23127
Parents: Bruce S & Ada M

Brilliant, thanks Merlin!   :D   :D

You'll have made the lass I'm helping very happy. With that information she'll now be able to make more progress by herself.

(Our volunteer group doesn't do all the work for people who come in to the local library Family History sessions.....we just try to point them in the right direction and give them a little help along the way.   :D    )
