Hi

You have the numbers from the entry in the Bishop Transcripts - the copy of the Anglican register of burials. What you don't have is any information from the burial registers kept at Kensal Green cemetery. The cemetery is one of the largest in London at around 44 acres in size. You will need to contact Kensal Green cemetery to find the plot number of the gravesite/s and to establish where in the cemetery it is and whether a grave plot was purchased and a gravestone erected or whether they were common graves, in which case there will be no memorial.

Contact details for Kensal Green cemetery are in the guide to London burials at the top of the London and Middlesex boards

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,403492.20.html

Kensal Green cemetery is in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

A previous topic on Kensal Green cemetery is worth reading because that Rootschatters had some difficulties contacting the cemetery and gives further advice. Once you have the information from the cemetery office you may be lucky and find someone who is willing to visit the cemetery, though volunteers on the London and Middlesex boards are very few.

Regards

Valda

Hi Steven

You can't post images on any of the 'look-up' request boards here on Rootschat, you're not doing anything wrong.

You don't mention when you contacted the cemetery, I do know that they are inundated with requests for information but their priority is helping the recently bereaved, not family historians.

As Valda says, chatters in and around London are few and far between. Fingers crossed the cemetery office replies soon with the infomation you require.

Dawn
