thanks for reply i'm tracing a william lyle campbell  but have not seen this name mentioned on any of the posts i think he may be connected to those you have researched, can you enlighten any further?

I'm not researching Campbells- just posted a link to the earlier topic.

Might have information on William Lyle Campbell- any idea of when born or parents' names?

1864 was the start of birth registration in Ireland so it's important to know if he could have been born after 1864 (finding a birth certificate is much easier than finding church records). What about names of parents or spouse? any other clues to identify the correct William Lyle Campbell?

i think parents may have been margaret anne craig and robert campbell but not sure as dont have many details

According to this website William Campbell (no middle name of Lyle) born 1861 Scotland-

this is fantastic as looks like these names are connected to the names i have been given. is the family tree maker a good site to find birth certificates? i was gonna go to belfast to proni to check out other names but maybe wont have to now i see all this info.
