Sorry I looked through Brandon Parva forwards and backwards but no sign of Reuben there :'( Perhaps he is in the same place as he was in 1851 if you know that.

Well yes he is in Besthorpe, if you had said that to start with I would have looked there first and not wasted time looking in Brandon Parva - please remember this in future requests as the 1841 Census is not indexed and volounteers have to search through the whole village which takes a lot more time than looking in an index - sorry but that does annoy me.

Census 1841 Ho107/781/2 fol 16 p10 Besthorpe
James Doubleday 50 farmer
Sarah Do 55
Harriet Daynes 20
Reuben Do 18
Abraham Do 15
Sarah Fickling 6
All born in Norfolk

James Doubleday married Sarah Daynes

Marriages Jun 1840

DEYNES  Sarah    Wayland  13 503
DOUBLEDAY  James     Wayland  13 503

I am also researching the Daynes of Garvestone and Brandon Parva as the names of Abraham, Isaac and Reuben are in both lines.

Regards
Lesley
