What a fascinating thread.
In the 60's it was fashionable for news journalists to attend funerals and write reports for the local paper. These usually listed those attending, often with relationship to the deceased, and also the flowers sent plus dedications on the accompanying cards.
I lived in NW London as a child and remember that the borough of Brent was formed in 1965, combining the former boroughs of Wembley and Willesden. I know there was a Willesden Chronicle which became the Willesden & Brent Chronicle.
