« on: Saturday 17 March 12 16:54 GMT (UK) »
Hello all, just joined so not too sure what i am doing. A few months ago i met up with my eldest son who i had not seen for thirty years because he saw me doing voluntary work for the Alzheimers society in a local paper. It was wonderful to meet up again. So now i am looking for my Daughter.................. whom was born in Oldham in 1984/85 (please excuse my uncertainty as i have early onset Dementia, hence the hurry to find her) She used to live on the Limeside Council estate, almost sure it was on Third ave, or seventh ave, had a Step Brother called ................... and others brothers and sisters. She was born in the Royal Oldham hospital (date unsure)
Her mother was called ......................... who will be approx 44 and still lives in the oldham area as far as i know.
Can you help me pleasae ? as i say, i have early onset ADementia and would love to meet up with her before this terrible disease takes away all my memories, very best wishes, Norrms and family xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi and welcome
I am sorry but we do not allow publication of details of living people so I have edited your post.

The guidelines for posting on Rootschat are here

'RootsChat is a forum for searching for ancestors. Anything posted on the internet is in the public domain where anybody can see this information. To protect people and their identities we do not encourage the posting of information about people who are or maybe still living.'

RootsChat is meant for finding ancestors, rather than living people.

Personal details of any people known or thought to be living will be removed, in accordance with RootsChat policy, to avoid spamming and other abuses. So people here will be able to give you general tips and hints how to proceed, but not any concrete details.

You will also find more tips here:

Hi norms,

Why don't you contact the Oldham chronicle and see if they will help you? Its our local paper here

i'm sure if you explain the circumstances they will help
I know the Manchester evening news did something similar a few weeks ago and they were successful.

If you google Oldham chronicle you will find the website and contact details there.

Good luck on your search

Hello Norm
Back in the 1990s when I was looking for my daughter's father, a friend in UK put notices in the local papers where I knew his family had lived, but to no avail.

He then put the same request on some radio show, I think it was on the BBC, and within days his family had contacted us.  Sadly, he'd died just two weeks prior to the contact.

Might be worth a try.

Best of luck, got my fingers and toes crossed for you.
