I was wondering about the brother in Melbourne and having a quick look about.

It looks as if there were at least three GRINTER men in Victoria about that time and I am wondering whether two brothers, Charles and Thomas, married two sisters Sarah JEANES (with Charles)   and Mary JEANES, (with your man).

The other, man James GRINTER was with Ann PALMER.

What do you think?

Yes, that's right.
The Grinter's were breeders - some had 15 children!
Elizabeth (above) also married her cousin Charles - just to make things more interesting/difficult!
Her brother Thomas who was an infant on board died 15 days after their arrival. Not a very nice welcome to Australia.

And James Grinter was married to Ann Palmer, and his brother Charles Grinter married Leah Palmer...
