I will try to get the first photo rescanned but it is one of those treasures held by a relative in Australia.
I am told the woman on both is the same person but I am not so sure as the couple both died around 1930 and she looks quite an age in the first photo.

Don't think it's the same woman in both pics - the first one would have to have been taken at least 20 or 30 years after the second for that to be the case, and it is definitely not a 1940s or 50s photo.  Exactly when it was taken is very difficult to tell based on what we can see, but I'm sure it's either a similar or earlier date than the second.  A re-scan of the whole thing, as China suggests, would be really helpful.

I was thrilled to see your photograph of George and Susan Vincent as they are my great great grandparents. As a child I was given a tiny photocopy of the same photo. The quality of my copy is dreadful, but it's definitely the same photo. At the same time, I was also given a photocopy of a photo of George on his own, which looks as if it was taken on the same day, and a photocopy of a photo of their daughter-in-law (my great grandmother). If all three pictures were taken at  the same time, we can date the photo as being after 1915, as that is when my great grandmother married into the family. I believe George died in 1929.
I've never seen your second picture, and the family don't look familiar to me. I'd love to know who they are.
Thank you for giving me the chance to see a 'proper' version of the George and Susan photo.

My great grandfather was George and Susan's son James. I'll write a couple more postings then send you a PM. I think I've traced the Vincent family back three more generations, but I'm not 100% confident with my research, so it would be good to get your opinion. I think I've got Susan's parents and siblings, but I'm no further on from there. I'll be very happy to share what I know with you.
