Soupery, Workington

I have a death certificate for Richard Hutchinson who died in 1856 in Soupery(or it could be Soapery), Workington.  Richard was a basket maker and traveller so perhaps it was a travellers camping ground. The only mention I can find of it in a general search is as a place in the 1891 census for Cockermouth which I think Workington was part of. Does anyone know where this was?

A Google search found this description:

the Soapery was the old laundry between the Cloffocks and the Hall Park and close to the River Derwent.

Thank you for the replies. Richard was buried at Camerton so I suppose that fits as well. The map site is really useful so have book-marked it. I grew up in Wigton but really don't know much about the Workington area. It now turns out my mother-in-law's family have the Cumberland connections instead of mine.

Thank you for the photo. Perhaps Richard supplied baskets to the laundry if it was there when he was alive. I thought perhaps his widow would still be living around there on the 1861 census but she was living in King Street.

Must be more than just the laundry as it is listed as papermill, ironworks and all sorts in 1883 historicaldirectories.org. In 1827 it's listed as soapery bridge.  bob
