Seeking parents of Sarah Orton1787-1840 and John Randle
« on: Friday 09 March 12 23:00 GMT (UK) »
1. Who was mother of Sarah Orton, 1787-1840?
Her father was Thomas Orton.
Her mother's first name was also Sarah.

Daughter Sarah was baptized in Mancetter Parish on 12 Sep 1787, according to Warwickshire baptism record.
The Warwickshire marriage record states her parents as Thomas and Sarah Orton.
What was mother Sarah Orton's maiden name?

On 13 Dec 1813 daughter Sarah married John Randle 1786-1851 in Bulkington Parish.

2.
a. Who were parents of John Randle 1786-1851?

b. The Warwickshire marriage record says that John was a widower.
Who was John's first wife?

Thank you for your kind help.
With best regards,
Cherie

IGI has a John Randel Ch.8/3/1786 Long Compton which is his birthplace according to the 1851 census if it's the right John.
Parents:John & Ann.
The earliest baptism I can find for Thomas & Sarah Orton is 1772 Mancetter so looking 2-5 years previous to that for a marriage throws up this one:
Thomas Orton = Sarah Cooper,9/1/1769 Mancetter.
Thomas signed own hand,Sarah signed X
Both are of the Parish of Mancetter & one of the witnesses was a Thomas Cooper.
