Ah right I see.

Only thing I can think is workhouse records/census for 1891, maybe Lily was lurking in there  :(
I found someone the other day in an asylum and that was purely by his initials.  All the occupants were listed as AH or PB etc but birthplace and age matched.

Come back when you get the records and update the story  :)

i see lillys mother married alfred lucas in 1899. was there any connection between him and the ann lucas who was a witness on the marriage cert of alberts parents charles and mary?
looking at the baptism record for florence it's noticable that there is mainly only the mothers name recorded. do you think albert had allready gone by then and florence would have been given up for adoption straight away.

I've found out a couple of names for people who were in Leeds Workhouse in 1891 so am going to have a look for them and go through the names just in case.  No stone unturned as it were  8)

if you put "leeds workhouse" or "huslet workhouse" etc in the keywords box on search that will bring the lists up for them

Following the link above 'leedsworkhouse', you will find inmates and staff for 1861 and 1881.
No 1891 listing, unless I have missed something.

if you go to the 1891 census and search that census only you will get it. same with all of them, search seperately.
