Douglas Hammond, Cockfield

I am looking for information regarding the death of Douglas Hammond born Cockfield 1935 to Emma Henderson & Robert Hammond. He was the first cousin of my mother and I think he was crushed by a crane while serving with the military (possibly RAF) around about the early fifties in Germany (I think) but I cant find anything at all on the internet or in local newspapers from the time.
Any help would be appreciated.

i know of an arthur graham hammond from cockfield may be a relative? try 192.co.uk for his phone number maybe?
