Young Boys Grave, Killamarsh near Eckington
« on: Wednesday 07 March 12 11:08 GMT (UK) »
Hi Guys, i'm trying to trace the grave of my great uncle Roy Davies. He died aged only a few days old and i'm told that he was buried in a grave next to the wall of the church of England church in Killamaresh near Eckington. I believe Roy was born and died in 1933 and was the son of George and Gertrude Davies. I'm guessing there was no graestone but i wondered if anyone may know were records may be held for the grave or how i may get a look at them so that i can visit the grave etc.

Thanks for your time,

Luke

Hi Luke, it may be best you contact the church. They have a website and an Ancestry section. The link is below.

Hi Luke,
I spent a long time looking for my sisters grave who died 18 months old in 1931, she was the first born, we new the church where she was buried
, but could not find it and there was no record.
Then we met a elderly cousin and she told us that my mother and father could not afford the cost of the burial and she was put on the top of a coffin that was being buried, and that is why she says there was no record of her grave. Maybe, just maybe, this could be the problem, but best of luck,
regards Tom
