McLeans in Clachnaharry 1800s
« on: Tuesday 06 March 12 17:09 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have any information on any McLeans living in Clachnaharry or surrounding area i.e Muirtown in the early to middle 1800s.
Trying to ascertain a link between a Donald McLean from Yorkshire and Sarah MacRae from Muirtownwho married in Inverness in 1875. He was from Yorkshire but may have relatives in the Clachnaharry area.
Thanks.

Hi,
My great grandmother Margaret McLean came from Inverness in Scotland and was probably born around 1925.  She only married when she was over 50 years of age to Alexander McLean (not from Inverness) and they moved to South Africa and had 3 children.  My grandmother is Mairi McLean.
hope this helps.

Hi
Thanks for your information but I think that your relatives may have been born after the dates of my relatives' births  in the early 1800s.
Thanks for your help,
Woodvillecaz.
