hello,wonderingif anyone can help to find out about my grandfather
Albert Lees b1884-5 Castle Gresley Derbyshire.
Lance Corporal 5th Battalion Notts and Derby Regiment
no 2333 + another number 200463.
Can you tell me what his main duties would have been etc.
Is it at all possible you may be able to find out if he received
any medals?
I dont know where to get any info from.

hi,,you can ask someone on Ancestry to download his medal card and send it to you,,,or you can pay and see the medal card for yourself.

Medal card gives WO2 (warrant officer 2nd class) or Sgt Major entitled to British War and Victory Medals...didnt goverseas until after Jan 1916 unless he has a second card for Star...He was discharged to pension with Silver War Badge.Ill have a look on rolls see what it gives
