Hello,
The short answer to that is "no, not in Tilehurst or Theale PRs", nor anything for these Palmers or Drews in the Berks Burial Index.
Sorry

hi deborah,
My name is carlene. Ellen Palmer was my great great grandmothers sister (Elizabeth Sophia Stanborough nee Palmer). They are buried together at Rookwood cemetery in Sydney. I would be interested in any other info you might have. Also do you have any photos.
Kind Regards,
Carlene Rolander.

Hello

I think we're interested in the same family.

My connection is to Ellen Palmer who came out to Australia in 1856 and married Thomas Mossman in 1857.  The marriage certificate lists her parents as Richard Palmer (butcher) and Sophia Drew.  Her immigration records give her native place as Theale.  She died in Sydney in 1927 at the age of 91.

We haven't yet been able to find her baptism but from the info we have we think she was born 1835-36.

Vicwinann, I was wondering whether you could please confirm that the child baptised in 1835 in Theale was Ellen? Also whether you have the exact dates for this baptism and the burials of her parents?

Although I seem to have found Richard Palmer living in Theale with some of his children in the 1841 census, I can't find Ellen (who I assume would have been 4 or 5). Could anyone offer any suggestions?

Christine (Bolton), I'm not sure of your exact interest, but if you would like Ellen's marriage and death certificates let me know and I can email them to you. Of course the same applies to anyone else who is interested.

Thanks
Deborah
