Knowledge of Scotland Challenge!

Hi folks. G'day to all.

I have some bits and pieces from a will that was deciphered for me.
Know I am challenged with names and places, as I have never been to Scotland. I want to but now just aint the right time...

The following is a montage of the part of the will with the town and what I thought the town name was. If anyone can tell me anything further, it'd be splendid.

I think the  last one might well be Machrihanish in Argyll, from your interpretation.

However, your attachment is so small that it's virtually impossible to see any of the words. Would it be possible for you to do a larger  rescan of  just the words and not the whole sheet.

Shauny, Balligroggan is just south of Machrihanish, not far from Campbeltown in Kintyre. Dalintober (Wellfield) must be a croft on that farm. Remote spot, open to the Atlantic on the Mull of Kintyre (cue for a song). Thanks Gnu.

The National Library of Scotland maps website will give you free on-line access to large-scale maps of Scotland. A useful one to look at would be Roy's map of 1747-1755.
