Bonkle Church BMDs?

I am looking for baptismal, marriage and burial records for the Bonkle United Presbyterian Church and its predecessor Muirkirk of Cambusnethan at Daviesdykes both located within the Parish of Cambusnethan.

I know that the National Archives of Scotland has the following records:
   CH3/1445/6   Baptismal register   1837-1852
   CH3/1445/7   Baptismal register   1861-1875

Does anyone know if any other 18th or 19th century records exist?

I have a copy of CH3/1445/6 (as above) if anyone has a missing Cambusnethan area baptism from that time period.

Hi David,

If the records are not with the NAS then it's very doubtful that they have survived.
I don't think the UP church at Bonkle ever had a burial ground, the parochial burial ground at Cambusnethan would have been used. I have some records for that ground, so if you post the names you are interested in, I will have a look for you. Full names and maiden surnames please.

Bonkle Church does not have any graves in it at all. Cambusnethan or Shotts is cemetery Motherwell Heritage centre has CD of both Cemeteries and OPR for both Parishes. which you can get on-line at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk or at Mitchell Libray or Edinburgh at Scotlands people Centre (Genreal Registrar Office.

in next couple of months Archives well have moved in and all buriel record well be at Heritage centre
