Hi,

I came across this thread when doing my family research. Patrick Lally born in Garryredmond in 1793 was my great great great grandfather. He married Mary Cosgrove (no other details) in Kilcolman Church on 2nd April 1818. I'd love to connect with other descendants to get some more information on the Lallys and Cosgroves. I'm assuming Mary Cosgrove was local to Garryredmond. Thanks in hopeful anticipation!

Hi everyone
I took a break from family history and have just found all your fascinating messages.
To Cine - Patrick Lally and Mary Cosgrove were my 2 x great grandparents, so we are definitely related. Are you researching the Cosgroves or the Lallys?

Hi relative
All I knew about the Lallys of Caraun was that John Foy told me of a cousin of Patrick's of Garryredmond called Jim and John's wife gave me a photo of Jim but I couldn't pin down the relationship. Maureen, Patrick's daughter who lived in America died and John Foy bought the Lally farm from her son so ended the Lally connection with Garryredmond. My great grandfather Thomas was born there but moved to Shanballymore co Galway sometime between 1855 and 1858 and I have lots of information on that branch if it's of interest to you.
I live in England but still have family in the area.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Sorry I don't know about the Roches/Roaches but I'll ask my cousin next time I'm talking to her.
