Just looking at the 1871 census, the surname seems to be based in Radnorshire, Wales?
74 of the 122 Wozencroft(& variants) were in Radnorshire!
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
