Hi Joe
Thankyou for your time & effort. I was trying to find Susan’s headstone as I needed to have some evidence that I had found the correct person. I was hoping that ,if there had been a headstone, that it would say wife of Francis, thereby confirming correct person. I had found the burial of Susan (& of her son-in-law & grandchild) on Irish Records Extraction Database (on Ancestry database).
Another researcher recently found on rootsireland website the burial record, which records female FELTIS, with death date of 14 Sep 1869 in Co Galway, address Glenview,Salthill . In the notes on burial it says; “The deceased was the wife of Mr Francis FELTIS. This was taken from the Galway Express on Saturday 16th September 1869”
So with this above information, I can now confirm I have found the correct person, so there is now no need to continue the search of headstones, particularly as you have said that they are in poor condition.
Thanks again for your help-its greatly appreciated. Regarding NAYLOR- All the records say either NAILOR or NAYLOR-perhaps it was a later variation of TAYLOR.
Cheers
Kerri
