Ashkirk Monumental Inscription - George Hog(g)/Margaret Armstrong
« on: Friday 24 February 12 17:20 GMT (UK) »
Would be extremely grateful if someone was able to post details of the Ashkirk monumental inscription for
George Hog(g) died May 1787, aged 61 and Margaret Armstrong his spouse died April 1810, aged 77 years.

I'm also trying to establish if the above couple is the same couple as George Hog(g) and Mary Armstrong who married 10 July 1762, Ashkirk. George and Mary had a son Walter Hog(g) born abt 1778, Ashkirk. Walter married Margaret Kerr 6 Apr 1806, Wilton.

many thanks,

Langtonian

Many thanks indeed Alan. Was hopeful that the monumental inscription might provide a bit more info than the basic info I had, such as names of children or parents, but sadly this doesn't seem to be the case here.

Regards,
