Rathfriland look ups?
« on: Tuesday 21 February 12 11:48 GMT (UK) »
I have no idea if anyone can help me here?

1) I am trying to find the marriage record of Michael Hillan and Margaret McConvill/e in Rathfriland 1851 (think 10 May 1851) Roman Catholic.  I am trying to find the name of Michael's father.

Michael died in 1868 and I have ordered his death certificate.

Margaret Hillan (nee McConville) then married Thomas Jordan in 1869 ish (also rathfriland) and they had a daughter called Sarah Jordan (abt 1871).  I do not know the age of Thomas.

2) Margaret (widowed) and Sarah show up in the England 1881 census.  I am trying to locate the death of Thomas Jordan between 1871 - 1881.   I am starting in Ireland as I am wondering if this triggred the family to move to England.

Let me know if anyone can help - or if they need more info as I may have it!

Nicola
