Yates nee(Swann) family from Liverpool
« on: Monday 20 February 12 21:15 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for a relative of this Yates family -

I wish to contact the family of Wireless Operator Sylvester Kenneth Yates , Son of Samuel William and Catherine Yates of Liverpool.......Sylvester was killed in a military aircraft accident on 15th Feb 1944 aged 20 in North Wales and is buried at Liverpool(Yew Tree)Roman Catholic Cemetery .

We the Deganwy History Group wish to honour him along with four other airmen killed here in our locality at Deganwy North Wales and we hope to place some sort of stone memorial / plaque at the accident site ....I myself will be giving a talk of my research on the incident this coming September 2012 .

I believe his parents lived at Prescot in their latter years ...Catherine passed away in 1944/45 , and Samuel in 1964.

If anyone can help , please contact me via my e-mail address or on here.

How about something in the local papers? Maybe the Liverpool Echo and whatever the local paper is in Prescot/St Helens.
