John Jones - Blacksmith
« on: Sunday 19 February 12 20:23 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

Need some help.

Family papers have indicated that the father of my 4th Great Grandfather Richard Jones (born in Liverpool in 1769) was John Jones.  This John Jones was we are informed the Blacksmith of Dyserth, Denbighshire.  He was married first to Ann and then to Jane.

Any help appreciated.

Tks.
Dunlata

Hi William,

Thank you for your info.  I am at a loss as to why the same town is in two different counties.  If you go to the following web site you will see that a present day Blacksmith of Dyserth shows his address to be in Denbinghshire.

Dyserth was in Flintshire to 1974. Then Clwyd from 1974 to 1996, now in "new" Denbighshire. A photograph of the Church is on the GENUKI webpage.
