Hello Common Room. 
                                I believe there may be some one who does look ups for wills.   If so, could I ask a favour please?    I am trying to trace the adopted daughter of John Mansell.    In answer to my posting on Staffordshire site, it was suggested to me by another Roots Chatter that John may have left a will mentioning his adopted daughter.   This is the information I have.   First - John.   Born 1865, Crewe.   Married Ann Jane Fullwood in Liverpool 1899.   Family lived Unwin Street Smallthorne Stoke on Trent, apart from a spell in USA 1907 - 1915.   Ann Jane died 1925.   Adopted daughter appeared on the death certificate as the informant.   John died 25th May 1942.   1 Turnhurst Road Tunstall.   His occupation had been iron works puddler.   Informant was his brother William.
   Adopted daughter.    Born 28th October 1900  Horton Biddulph Moor Staffs.    Her birth name was Martha Ann Shufflebotham.   The Mansell's called her Angelina or Angelica (or similar name) Mansell.   She was still using that name in 1925 on her adoptive mother's death certificate (A Mansell daughter).   Any information on a will giving a clue as to her name/whereabouts gladly received.  Or indeed any information about her.   Thanks in anticipation.      Jeanette

To look for a will after 1941 first you have get the death certificate as that will hold information needed to apply for the will (if there is one)

Then you have to download the search form PA1S and send it off to

Postal Searches and Copies Department
Leeds District Probate Registry
York House
York Place
Leeds
LS1 2BA

and they will then search for a will.  Tick both boxes Probate and will.

It's a long drawn out affair, but hopefully you'll get what you're after
