Hi Christine
If you got the information from Ancestry about All Souls then look closely, the records attributed to All Souls are mostly Elland St Marys.

Hi Dave
i have just been though west Yorkshire B.M.D 25 pages so far. But no Benjamin on any so if they are not on there it does not  look as if i will ever find their marriages. Yes all Sykes which is great as many of the girls marriages are on which can be harder to find. cheers for that  Christine

I have a Benjamin Sykes, much later than the ones you are looking for, but have you tried the Huddersfield area - Slaithwaite or Almondbury definitely had Sykes families.

Hester Sikes married Robert Lightollers of Rochdale in 1616 at Slaithwaite St James (Chapel-of-Ease for Huddersfield)

Joseph Sykes married Mary Lightowlers in 1743 at Slaithwaite

Edmund Sykes married Rebecca Lightowlers in 1810 at Elland St Mary's (Chapel-of-Ease for Halifax)

All Souls was a Chapel-of-Ease for Halifax Parish Church, it was built 1856 completed 1859

Christine:  Marriages usually took place in the bride's parish, so could be over a fairly wide area, even in those days.  Sorry  :'(
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi cousin Christine ! Mary Lightowlers is a distant ancestor - 2nd cousin 8x removed or so.

If you look at the baptism record for Joseph 28 Mar 1718 - after Joseph f. Edmd. Sykes the next word is Slackthwait. On the marriage record 10 Apr 1743 the last word is Slw. Both are Slaithwaite in Huddersfield Parish. So nothing to do with Haley Hill.

I can take your Mary Lightowlers back several generations if you are interested.

I've sent a 'share' invite, just find Mary Lightowlers and follow on up the tree.
The Sykes family are not mine so it was just a cursory interest where there were marriages to Lightowlers.
