As I mentioned previously, information on death certificates is not always reliable.  Margaret may not have been in Victoria for 15 years.  Was she a witness at her daughter's marriage in 1883?

If you add Born in Ireland to my summary, you have a timeline for Margaret.

How do you know Wm GAYLOR was born c1801?  Simply trying to validate the information.

The following may be useful....

Hi Cando,
Oh I have a headache trying to take in all of that!  Pub owners! Hmm On Adas marriage cert. William Gaylor is listed as Schoolmaster!
Also about the date of birth for William I am only guessing. If, as you have stated he died 22May 1876 aged 75 he would have been born sometime in 1801, yes?
Will spend some time looking at these links. Considering I was only having a looksee at Margaret and her husband William Gaylor. Her daughter Ada Gaylor was my maternal GGGrandmother and was trying to find a bit more about her life.
Many thanks,
           Lauren ;D

Mmmm well if dad had a bit of a past one wouldn't be absolutely accurate would one  ;)

I haven't stated anything about Wm's death ...I have transcribed a death registration from the Tas Indexes.  Once again info on death certificates not always accurate as you have already found with Margaret's dc.

I can't find two Wm GAYLOR's in Tas pre 1867.

I think you probably need to look at the GAYLOR's on the indexes in Tas and have a trawl through TROVE as well.

Cheers

 Dear Cando,
My apologies, wrong choice of word.  As I wrote before, I was only having a look to see if I could find a bit about Adas parents. I have found more than I knew before but will now drop it. Thanks for your efforts.

Lauren it helps with the 'housekeeping' if you would now modify the heading on your initial post to include COMPLETED :)
