hiya again Mossiefish,
Gosh you get around.

We are doing this for a close friend who has scant history on both sides of his family tree and does not have any resource to do any research.
Having said that I do not think he has considered a UK marriage. Her having a maiden name of Cohen would also from what we have been told would rule her out. That is unless she was born in America and was a Native American Indian. I have found an additional male child born [vol 6d page 96] and died [vol 6d page 58] in the March quarter of 1898 in Birmingham.
Hopefully we can get at the 1911 Warwickshire and Monmouthshire Census indexes soon both of which will help trace their next son better [Maurice Derwent Gladstone, who was born in 1909 andd we have his marriages yes MARRIAGES PLURAL to my friends mother]
Anyone thinking this is a big puzzle just wait until we start on my friend's mother's brother [Stanley Thomas born 25 oct 1911
14 Rochester Road, Newport Monmouth died 12 jan 1994 3232 Thunder drive, Ocean Side, San Dieego, California, CA92054].

Still many thanks again. We will look into that lead even to just 100% rule it out.
All the best.
