thankyou Alan I am not on Genes Reunited. I do however, have the original poem book, with the poem My Son inside it. The book is called Poems of Progress by Rev E Cushing and he has signed it. I got it from my cousin (Edgar was his grandfather). Edgar did have two wives so to speak, married the first one, but not the second. Seems to have been a thing with some of the Cushign chaps. I have lots of information about my Cushing family. Edgar's brother Frederick John Robert is my grandfather.
