The 1851 census Ho.107/1999 does show John and Ann aged 29 (John is a farmer of 20 acres) but shows daughter Ann is 5 years old and son John is 10 months.

Hi Allan,
Its not Freereg.com but this site;
www.freereg.org.uk
She is definitely there under Anne (with a E) Mould :)

There is also a MARY Mould Christened 18 Nov 1792, Haughton, Parents JOSEPH/MARY
(not sure as she would be 30 when Anne was born, not impossible,  but illeg Children were mostly to younger Women)
There is also a MARY Mould, 16 Nov 1800, Willenhall, to BENJAMIN/ANN

And interestingly a Mary Mould married a Richard THOMPSON 07 April 1822, St Peters, Wolverhampton. A Witness was a JOSEPH Mould.
A JOSEPH Mould Married same day, same Church, Witness Richard THOMPSON.

Is hard tp prove if this is your Mary Mould, Mother of Ann/e.

1861 census John/Ann have a Son Arthur born c 1860, Haughton.
Trees have him emigrating to Australia 1886.
He is easy to find 1881 but may be down as a Orphan in 1871, born c 1860, Apeton, Staffs, living with the Wright Family in Church Eaton.RG10/2921/56/4

Maybe this adds up now???
1792 Mary may be yours;
JOSEPH Mould, Buried 02 January 1867, St Giles, Haughton, Staffordshire
Age 71 (Birth c 1797)
Abode ,The Dale

Joseph MOULD Christened 03 Jan 1796, Haughton, to JOSEPH/MARY

The Dale address seems interesting as Ann was born there 1822.

I am not sure about the Marriage to Richard Thompson for Mary as his Wife seems to be born c 1800.

Burial in Haughton;
MARY Mould, 23 April 1830, age 76, Abode The Dale

Hello Trish

Thank you for all your hard work. John and Ann Martin had another 2 sons after Arthur who was born 1860 (christrned 25/3/1860), they were Aaron (born 6/7/1862 and Amos born 1864. Both of them were living as boarders with George and Ann Taylor in 1871, again in Church Eaton. Aaron was my wifes g grandfather.
In 1881 Arthur worked as a railway shunter.
Not sure what you mean by 'trees have Arthur emigrating to Australia'. This could be the lead I have been looking for but what is 'trees'
regards
Allan

It appears that John Martin's family owned a small farm at Haughton called The Dale his wife Ann Mould was a grand-daughter of the tenant. I am researching all families that lived in Haughton and would like to know where John and Ann moved to. Contact me direct at  (*) for more information.

I can not reply to you directly because your email address has been with held. John Martin died in 1870 (registered in the march quarter) and some of their children were noted as orphans in the 1871 census. Please let me know if you need or have any further information.
