hi im new to the family tree making, i have found this site really interesting. i would be obliged if someone
 would advise me if there are any free software which i can download to start my tree. thanks

You can always download to try them and uninstall if you don't like.

Bear in mind that all the good Family Tree Programmes have a free version to get you started, some always free, some on a thirty day trial or similar.
