McGarvey emigration
« on: Saturday 11 February 12 22:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi all
I have Martha McGarvey living in Belfast in 1901 and marrying in York County, Canada in 1906.
Could anyone advise where I could get info about her emigration and who may have traveled with her?
Thanks a million

Martha Jane McGarvey married James Witherspoon 1906. 1911 census says they both arrived in Canada in 1906.

Thankyou very much.  James Witherspoon's parents were Charles and Mary Jane - they are in Down in 1901 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Down/Upper_Iveagh__Lower_Half_/Clarkill_Row_Town/1226509/

I can't find them or his siblings in 1911 in Ireland. I had hoped that they may be on a passenger list with their son James and Martha McGarvey.  However I searched the site you kindly provided for Canada census and cannot find them there either.

Thanks a lot for your help.
K
