HI All

any information on Edward Pharo  born around 1843 in Wandsworth Surrey.  Parents were Aaron and Susanna (nee Jurd).  They came to Sydney in 1885 on the Bombay.  Any history of the family before 1885 - especially his parents births and siblings - would be gratefully received.

you beauty! that's his grand parents and uncles/aunts etc - could you check for another Aaron - that would be his father - born about 1843.   my original post was wrong - Edward was born in 1869 - its his fatehr Aaron that was 1843 - should have double checked my facts.

Thomas Jurd is Susannah's father.  And he's born in middlesex - that's were I will look for Susanah's birth.

The dates of Edward and George agree with the ages listed on the passenger list for "Bombay" which arrived in 1885 Sydney.  We have the right family for sure.  Excellent - three generations in one nigth - thanks so much

wow - I am going out and buying a lottery ticket - with luck like this I can't lose.

The amazing part is that I got this tip from a newly located elderly relative tonight - I've gone from "wow, "pharo" what a great name" to three generations in the one night.

Isn't it great that the long droughts of no new discoveries are interspersed with nights like this.
