Virus in email parcel delivery notification
« on: Saturday 11 February 12 20:32 GMT (UK) »
Has this happened to anyone  else? I recently ordered some items from Amazon which still haven't arrived. I received an email from Fedex telling me my parcel had been returned to the depot because it had an incomplete address on it. I was then instructed to open an invoice to see which depot it had been returned to...big mistake! I now have a computer infected with one of those virus' that tells you you have so many threats on your computer and you need to pay to download a solution. Of course i will not be doing that, but the worst thing that it has done is prevented me having access to my AOL account to pick up my emails. I cannot contact AOL from a computer as it keeps telling me my security certificates are not in operation. How on earth can I rid my AOL account of this?
Any clever rootschatters out there? ???

Try this:

If it doesn't work, try googling fedex email virus removal.

You also need an antivirus protection. There's some freeware out there. AVG Free and Spybot are the minimum you should have...you can download them.

Thanks for that. i already have both AVG and Spybot. The infected machine is being sorted but my problem is actually getting into my AOL account and access my e-mails! I can't open it on any machine at the moment!!!
