An online tree says that he was the one who died 1872, parents William and Norah [Honorah] McCarthy Born Surrey 23 years old from the index.
From that tree, henry William White born 1871, Redfern NSW reg no 4143.

Now we are looking for an arrival 1870ish for Thomas and Elizabeth White,

I have an Elizabeth WHITE on an assisted passage on Feb 1870. But no mention of Thomas or Henry.

Henry was born in NSW, There is a Thomas White, crew member in 1870 on the Lekova, Nov 1871 into Sydney, but I dont think thats him. Unless Elizabeth was already pregnant and came out ahead of her husband.
The arrival you have is in victoria isn't it?

Yes - Victorian assisted passage. Probably doesnt fit if you have Henry being born in NSW. What date was that?
