Carlisle Cemetery - COMPLETED
« on: Friday 10 February 12 18:50 GMT (UK) »
I'll be visiting Carlisle Cemetery in the near future.  I'm trying to locate a grave, with the plot and lair numbers 37/10.

Is there anyone who could give me general directions to 37/10 ?

Thanks.

It's the cemetery in Richardson Street.

You'll need the plot area aswell, eg A?B?/37/10. Carisle cemetery is huge and without that you'll be wandering around all day.  there is a plan on at the gate on Richardson Street and you can also get them to email it to you so you can carry around with you.  But you will definitely need the letter as well.

hope that helps

Thanks Geoff,

I'm a no mean "cemetery crawler" but it's always good to have a step for a hint.

Cheers,

Thanks I'll phone the cemetery authorities to ascertain the prefix letters.

hi

Just a thought - did you get the grave number from the Carlisle history website, where names and dates of death are listed?

If you did this reference is totally unrelated to the grave reference from the cemetery index.  If its not from there just ignore me!!

I did get the reference numbers from the Carlisle History site initially.  I've now been in touch with Carlisle Council, and now have the correct details.  Thanks.
