mentioned in despatches
« on: Thursday 09 February 12 10:12 GMT (UK) »
My great uncle Victor Thomas Bradley - First Royal Berkshire - was mentioned in despatches 22.6.1915 according to what remains of his war records. Does anyone know if War One military despatches are on line and how I might locate them to find out what was said of him?
He survived the war by the way.
He was also awarded Roses clasp on his medal card. Does anyone know what that corresponds to?
Thank you

Looking at some of the other names from 1st and 2nd Royal Berks whose MiDs were promulgated in the same edition of the London Gazette
http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/29200/supplements/5998 and following page,
it looks like the Mentions refer to actions on or about 10-11 March 1915.
Some of the officers and Private Wood (died 10/3/15) are mentioned in the War Diaries
http://www.thewardrobe.org.uk/research/war-diaries/search
but I can't find Cpl Bradley's name, unfortunately.
